Ruben graduated from the University at Albany in 2012 with a BA in the Arts for English.  In the fall of 2010, he studied abroad in Madrid, Spain. In Spain Ruben participated in an Inter-Cambio program designed to help Madrid residents practice speaking English. Ruben also volunteered in a program called Junior Achievement where he developed lesson plans educating students about issues relating to entrepreneurship and financial literacy.

Prior to Law School, Ruben worked at Digitech Systems as a Medicaid Billing Representative. At Digitech, he handled Medicaid payments and served as a liaison between insurance companies, ambulance providers and clients. Since then he has volunteered at the Pace Land Use Law Center and is currently the Vice President of the Pace Energy & Climate Law Society.

Outside of school, Ruben is an avid basketball fan. When he isn’t playing it or watching it, he enjoys hiking, camping and kayaking. When he isn’t outdoors, he spends a significant amount of time seeking out the best breweries around the area.
