Dan joined the Pace Energy & Climate Center in 2014 as a Senior Energy Policy Associate.  His work focuses on increasing the deployment of clean distributed energy resources through rigorous policy analysis and direct community engagement especially on the topic of microgrids.  These enable communities and organizations to lower their energy costs, decrease their carbon footprint, and improve the reliability of their services.

Dan holds a B.E. from The Cooper Union in Electrical Engineering as well as two Masters from Boston University in Business Administration and Information Systems.  In his former position as Assistant Director of Energy Finance and Sustainability Management at the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) he was tasked with increasing energy and water efficiency for the Authority’s 2,500+ building stock which houses over 600,000 low and moderate income residents of New York City.  He brings over 13 years of experience in energy, analytics and information technology to the team.
